| Not sure where you heard that, but XHTML is the most positive step towards cross-browser compliance. If you conform to XHTML then your site will work even better in both IE and Firefox. If your pages are not XHTML compliant, you'll often run the risk of having unclosed tags and non well-formed documents and your documents will often not show up well in one (if not both) of these browsers. |
