| Nickels and Dimes I see a lot of people in here looking for ways to do things using the nickel and dime effect. What I mean is that they want the "best" for the cheapest price possible. Which is entirely understandable but while they are nickel and diming themselves wouldn't it benefit them more to add a little extra cash to get what they really need in the beginning.If they don't get what they really need in the beginning then they are spending a lot of time spinning their wheels and that is not profitable. And if you take the nickels and dimes and add up the wasted funds wouldn't that have been better to accumulate the change into dollar sense and get it going faster. Because the faster you get your name out there the more money you are going to make in the long run. If you don't have the experience don't frustrate yourself by trying it yourself. Hook up with someone who knows and see what they can do and then pick their brain so that you don't have to keep using them. |
| I don't think this is relevant to XML, but it's an interesting post. I agree with you on the cheap approach not always being the way to go. It's often worth investing a little money to get further although I must say that there are plenty of free and efficient ways of getting ahead too. I also agree with the comment about experience, but it's not always so simple to partner up with someone else. You have to look at all the options, but sometimes you have to go it alone. |
