Article: Confession of a Non-PHP Developer I confess. I don't know how to program in PHP. Having spent most of my college years developing applications using Java (plus a host of other programming languages such as C, Lisp, and Fortran), I hardly spent any time understanding how PHP works. The only time I had any experience in web programming was later on in college, when I used Ruby on Rails. Otherwise, it's all standalone development for me.
