Trends with SPAM

I used to get a lot of SPAM and then it seemed to die down for a while. Now all of a sudden it's coming back in a big way. It's so annoying and makes on unproductive. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed a similar trend with your e-mail and receiving spam.
