Spam on my phoneThis forum post has messages dated from 02/14/07 through 02/18/07, please be sure to read all the messages. | Spam on my phone I regularly receive 'offers'in the form of text messages on my cell phone. Is there anyway of blocking these, I wonder, alternatively is there a directory anywhere of numbers where these can be reported? |
| Most of these are from the phone company itself promoting deals, I find. I just delete the messages. It doesn't happen all that often and is no big deal, unlike spam on a computer. |
| This is a new one to me! I have had the occasional person dial the wrong number, resulting in a voice mail message that wasn't intended for me, but it definitely wasn't spam. You may well have given your number out to someone not realizing that they were going to start spamming you. You have their number, so why not ring them and tell them that if they don't stop you'll report them? |
