Why is google indexing every thing on my website except for my home page? - Search Engines
| Why is google indexing every thing on my website except for my home page? If i put my website address into the search bar, all that comes up is everything but my homepage, like my contact us page, privacy policy, and seperate posts. I do some blogging and article writing, and they are showing up higher in the search engines. I'm pretty sure my homepage is not indexed for some reason, but the rest of it is. I do not have a robots.txt file. and google's webmaster tools is showing no information for anything, no crawl stats, no keyword stats, nothing. Please help. This is really weird, I have another website, these are both wordpress blogs by the way, when I'm signed into googles webmaster tools, I rank in position 4 on the first page for my keyword, but when i sign out I am immediately on the second page of results when I search again. Please help. |
| I presume there might have some technical problems with the tools you have used for opening and closing your website. You may try to check the Google Webmaster Tools which can help you go through the process step by step. You can also check Google Webmaster Central Blog to check what they index and issues using google search engine. |
