| Are Meta Tags still useful in an SEO perspectiveBack in early 2007, meta tags play a big role in optimizing one's blog or website. I vividly remember that I use to add meta tag codes to my blogger html lay out to help spiders crawl efficiently on my blog and my post on the top searches in Google.As time went by, I heard that Google changed the way it indexes blog. Search engine spiders are said to abandon searching meta tags. How true is this and what's the use for meta tags then nowadays? |

Metatags are still very important. Even for Google. I only heard Keywords matatag is not that important anymore, but I guess it still taken into consideration by search engines since you are penalized for having keywords mentioned inside the keyword metatag that are not actually inside your page's content.So, I think metatags are still very important. The "description" metatag is displayed in search results, how that could not be important? |
