| PPC ads -worth it? I see such mixed results in the ppc revenue returns.Sometimes it seems worth it but when you apply the cost of hosting and bandwidth from the deisgn side i have to say maybe it would be worth it to keep a clean site. |
| How much is bandwidth cost? 1500 GB / month for $200? How many page impressions do you think you can get for 1500GB? 1500 GB = 1500 X 1024 X 1024 X 1024 / 102400 = 15, 728, 864 I calculate you could have 15 million page views of a 100K page for $200/mo. Is bandwidth cost really an issue? Of course you should keep it a clean site. Do you want your users to wait 10 minutes for all the little icons to download and then make them dizzy with the blinking crap? |
| Yes they're definately worth it. You can make some good money from them over time, so just give it a chance, and it'll pay off. |
| Maybe another question to ask is whether the visitors brought in by your pay per click ads giving you some revenue. If not, then maybe there is something wrong with your site content and revenue streams including what George mentioned that the site is taking ages to load because it is overloaded with useless graphics and widgets. If the cost for hosting and bandwidth is offset by your site revenue then your PPC campaign is worth keeping. |
