I do not really know that very much about the banking system, but I can offer at least a little bit of researched knowledge that would surely benefit those that did know about merchant accounts prior to reading this forum post. A bank account which would enable a business or businesses to accept payments either by debit or by credit, is more or less, what a merchant account is all about.
