A short tutorial on how to set up the plugin NoFollow Links on your WordPress blog. This will keep you from having any potential problems with page rank leaking or possible spam issues with the search engines. Some of Alex Jeffreys other students have been concerned. Implement this and you won't have to worry..
I posted this video because a lot of people seem interested in the idea. However, I think it is a really bad idea for a number of reasons
Nofollow links never stopped a single spammer.
The search engines all say to build your webpages to be great, not to influence search results. Yet, the nofollow tag is designed to be an "influence the search results tag".
If you don't want to "leak page rank" don't link! How twisted are people? Afraid of losing points for linking, when linking is the essence of the web!
In conclusion the nofollow as well as the concept of leaking page rank are contrary to the underlying concept of the web and if you believe in them you need to simply get off the web and stay off.
