Copying a color I often need to copy an exact color match from portion of a graphic as a background to a table cell. Problem is when I want to do this from a random web page. I found that using the snapshot facility with my graphics program, I can capture portion of the page as an image and then use the dropper, on the exact area I want to copy, to generate the Hex code. Works like a charm.
Excellent suggestion. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely use this approach in the future.
Is there a utility that will allow one to set up a continuous color gradient starting from a particular HEX value? I can't figure out how to generate subtle changes in the color.
I seem to recall that I did this using Paint Shop Pro version 7 which may still be available for free download if you really look hard. The more recent versions can certainly do it, but you'll need to fork out some cash for those.
I would be happy to pay for PSP version 7. The newer ones are too convoluted.
