Photoshop is the bestGraphics - Graphics
Photoshop is the best There's nothing better than Photoshop, I learned the basics pretty fast and learned advanced things quickly as well. All the "Special Effects" are so cool.
#1Somewhere Over The Rainbow | Photoshop is a great program, but it seems complicated to me. I've been thinking of trying some tutorials to see if I can learn a little my way around the program a little better. |
#2Downtown Tijuana, South | It's not the best program. There are many others out there that a much much better. If I were you I would look around at some of the others.Photoshop is good, don't get me wrong but I still think you could do a lot better. |
I have to disagree. I think it IS the best. There are some fantastic alternatives like Paint Shop Pro and even some free ones like GIMP, but the top of the line for graphic artists in my opinion is Photoshop. I've never worked with a top notch designer that didn't use it.
Photoshop is also very expensive. If you're just looking into a graphics program you might want to consider using some of the free ones and working your way up to Photoshop if graphic art is something you really want to take seriously.
I haven't used it that much but was ok with it. It came with my computer so I am not sure about how much it costs. I was thinking of buying print shop pro in the near future.
Photoshop looks very difficult to me. My sister uses it all the time in her business but frankly I get pretty frustrated whenever she tries to teach me anything on there. I have looked into downloading GIMP (it is free) and it looks a little bit more manageable.
Why not try out Paintshop Pro? It is no longer free, but it is a fraction the price of Photoshop and does most jobs very well indeed. Also there are countless freebie addons and tutorials for it online.
I think it may still be possible to download free versions of Paint Shop Pro. While versions 7 and earlier are not cutting edge they still do an excellent job, and in my opinion version 7 is still a very fine tool when used with some of the freebie addons one can download for it.
I use Paint Shop Pro 7 to edit images on a daily basis and find it to be an excellent piece of software. I actually downloaded a trial version of PhotoShop, but after playing around with it for a day I deleted it from my system. I would have no use for half the bells and whistles and would not only be paying a fortune for them, but would have to lay out a lot more for some decent books to even get started working with them. No, PSP is the way to go for the average user IMHO.
Photoshop is the sort of application that one needs to spend time and effort studying. It is not only the basic cost, which is ridiculously high for the kind of person who only wants to do basic photo editing of their digital camera shots, but also the cost of learning how to use it. I think that for anyone really aiming to get value from Photoshop, they will have to actually do some sort of course at a local college or institute if they want to get places.
