MP3 editing software I want to convert sound files to MP3 format and then edit them so that I can add them to my iPod. I came across a piece of software called Polderbits which seems to be what I'm looking for. Anyone know about it?
I haven't used Polderbits, but I took a look atnd it appears to be a useful program. It's not free so keep in mind that you'll have to shell out about $35, but that's not a big deal for a good piece of software. My question to you is whether you are converting anything from tapes specifically because I think that many free apps will do a straight conversion to MP3 so if you don't need the special conversion from tape then you may want to look into other options as well.
I use Polderbits to capture tapes onto my hard drive and then convert them to edited MP3 files. It works extremely well indeed. The recording module can be set with a timer to save the file when the recording is completed to the name you want. Thereafter open the file with the editing module, trim out the unwanted bits and save. Excellent and worth the money.
