The decision to work for a rival company pissed HP off and immediately sued Hurd less than 24 hours after he accepted the offer. | I recently had a situation similar to this happen to me (though with nowhere near the severance package mentioned in the article). My former employer threatened to sue me for a whole host of silly issues, none of which ever came to fruition as the charges were baseless. What stunned me was how sudden the attack came from my former employer. I had another job lined up before I left which was not in a competing industry at all even. What it left me was a feeling of since when is an employee tied so heavily to a company when the company has no qualms about cutting staff at any given excuse? |
