eCommerce: Weathering the Storm. According to a recent article in Internet Retailer, Forrester Research shows that 72% of companies do not expect to change their investment in eCommerce, and a majority of B2C companies plan on increasing their eCommerce budget. Even through the current economic climate, eCommerce continues to show great resilience and even success as total retail sales have taken a substantial hit. Brian Walker, senior analyst for Forrester Research, says that companies understand the importance of eCommerce and online pathways for retail. As online retail continues to to grow (yes, online retail saw increases for the close of 2008), the success is projected to continue through 2009. eCommerce: Weathering the Storm.
