| Importance for branding and not SEO Seems that the real importance of a good domain name is for branding and not for search engine optimization. I am not sure that the search engines really pay any attention to the main domain anymore. It's just that it's more impressive from a marketing standpoint. |
| Do you really thing anyone other than a huge monolithic company can effectively brand anything?So your best bet with a domain name is something that is related to your topic for SEO and "branding" purposes. But not "branding" as that term would normally be used... but connecting the domain name to what you are doing with the site. |
| Actually domain names are both use for "branding" and for SEO purposes. Both are benefited by having a domain URL name that is related to what your site's contents are and at the same time can yield a good result in SEO's. But nowadays, we can see that a lot of development are surging towards the online world, and simply making a domain name doesn't secure you a good position on SEO, although it can yield a good product marketing strategy. |
