Blog Promotion - Blog - Promotion

blog promotion

Thank author of this post/commentI was hired to do a huge bunch of blog promotion for a web site. The owners had some kind of notion that if they put up a lot of articles suddenly people searching the site would come to their site.

But they kept the scope of the articles very dry, the articles were put in as blogs. Nobody likes to read an encyclopedia.

Now they are like, well you must have done it wrong. We are not getting thousands of clicks?

Thank author of this post/commentI tried some promotion on payperpost. The bloggers have to follow your instructions, but write the post themselves. You dedice how much they get paids (the minimum is $2.50). You also pay for the service.

I asked for 16 posts (costs a bit over $50 paying the bloggers $2.50 per post). They were asked to write a minimum of 50 words on the topic (good, netural or negative).

After about 3 weeks 14 people have posted (all of the posts were right on target). Those posts have gotten about 2500 impressions. I haven't tracked the click throughs yet.

The immediate effect has been nil. There may be a long term effect from the search engines.

Spending a bundle and getting thousands of posts might be another matter.

Thank author of this post/commentI'm sure most people use payperpost more for SEO than for traffic. Well, those who know about SEO, it's amazing how many webmasters are unaware of the concept.

Thank author of this post/commentHow many links do you need from payperpost for effective SEO? How long do you think it should take to see results? How much should one be willing to pay per link?

I see the minimum is $2.50 but a lot pay more like $10. Are you getting a better value for $10 per link than $2.50?

Thank author of this post/commentIf somebody is charging $10 per link the blog probably has a higher PR than one charging $2.50.

By the way, I like to read encyclopedias.

Thank author of this post/commentNo, that is how much they are paying for someone to write about (link to) their website.

The people paying have no control over who writes about them. They say how much, and the writers pick and chose what websites to write about in their blogs.

Thank author of this post/commentDo you really think that payperpost is all that effective or should be paid for X number of posts and X number of new threads.

To me it would be a far better idea to have a poster that posts more than one and has a quota to meet. Then you know what you are going to be getting in the long run.

You also need people who have good english, knowledge about a lot of topics (not necessarily experts) sort of like a Jack of all Trades.

Thank author of this post/commentThe blog payperpost is a bit different than the forum writers.

First for the forum writers, they get paid for making a lot of posts in a forum. ie: you have 1 forum, and many writers and it is all one big project.

The blog system with http://payperpost.com has many small projects and many independent blogs.

The blogger choses what project to write about. They make one short post (usually including a link) and get paid $2.50-$10 for making that post.

So to earn any kind of money with that system you need to write about a lot of different websites.

For a website to be promoted effectively they would need a lot of independent writers to write about it in their blogs.

The websites can't chose which blogs will write about them. The bloggers can chose which websites to write about or not. Each website gets to specify the requirements for the blog posting; positive, negative, netural, number of words, links, photos, etc.

Thank author of this post/commentPayPerPost is good, but articles I think are better. You submit a great article, people like it, you can get lots of links and lots of traffic. Trust me, it works!

Thank author of this post/commentIf you participate in memes, your blog gets exposure as well. I have had a lot of readers come to my blog through memes and return as well.

Thank author of this post/commentActually readers are not inclined on reading a site that is blunt and dry. A site must have attractions and reasons for readers to come back.

Plane articles that doesn't have anything to do with the site's main concern is actually a no no. Your articles must have something related with your site's scope. Unless your putting your blog into Random category.

Thank author of this post/commentRemember if you fill your website with flashing graphics animated dodades and the like no one will read your contact as they will breck their fingers going for the back button!

Thank author of this post/commentI agree. Peopple tend to look for websites that are less cluttered and less stunned by graphics. They want some fast access and not some slow loading site. Add attractions as well that will make them come back!
