Cheapest Way to Advertise: NOT INTERNET

Thank author of this post/commentWhat is the best way to advertise an online business without advertising online? Also, what is the biggest bang for your buck advertisement, whether online or not? I just am looking at getting some more traffic into my site. I have been advertising on some forums, but many don't allow. What are some other ways to advertise for free?

Thank author of this post/commentThere are free sites available to advertise your products. I think one is called FreeTOUse... I'm not definite about the name but you can advertise products for sale and you could also put a link to your site.

There are local community newpapers which I don't think are expensive to advertise in that you could try.

How about school bulletins, if your items are appropriate or go to the local shriners club and see if they have an event coming up. If they do they usually put out a program that can be advertised in.

Thank author of this post/commentI have advertised in my local newspaper, handed out business cards, and ofcourse on my car. Also if you have a few flyers you can ask if you drop them off in a few stores that might attract similar customers.

Thank author of this post/commentMost Grocery Chain Stores hae Bulletin Boards and a good place to advertise is by pinning a card or a flyer on them. Another good way to do it is by stapling a flyer on a lamppost if you still have the wooden ones around.

Also around construction sites there are boards put up and if you take some flyers and staple them up there if it is a busy area you get many people going past and especially if there is one near a public transportation stop for the buses, ets.

There are many Community Centres or Sports clubs that have bulleting boards where you can also put up flyers and cards. And of course all your friends should have at least a 1/2 dozen of your business cards to hand out when they are talking to people.

Just a few ideas to use.

Thank author of this post/commentYou have gotten some great ideas. Be creative and get the word out. Flyers, ads in cheap newspapers, even handing out brochures if you have them will help.

Thank author of this post/commentWhen one sees the amount of junk mail that comes flooding into the mailbox, it is obvious that print adverts really do work. Which company in its right mind would persist with this stuff unless it was paying dividends?

Thank author of this post/commentNo doubt that advertising is what powers the online business world these days, and yes, junk mail is finding it's way onto every site in the form of google ads, but at the end of the day it suits everybody to have them there, and at least they are directed at the subject matter of the page you're viewing.

Thank author of this post/commentI think that the best way to advertise is to add your buisness name and number to a vehicle. Another way would be to print out the name and number on match boxes. People would rather have a match box than a buisness card. It's something that they can actually use.

Thank author of this post/commentOften the mailers that go out are sent to so many people that even if a small percentage of them actually pay attention, you've gotten your money back. I do prefer online advertising though because you're hitting a targeted audience. Text ads are genius in my opinion.

Well if you are hoping to get traffic offline, i'll said the best way and most effective ways of doing it is word of mouth. You can just talk to someone for a quick 1-2min and hand them a business card after you're done. This way the person you just talk to will be more excited and have a higher rate of actually taking a look at your site. Handing out flyer is good but most likely the people that get your flyer is actually just going to throw it away. And the outcome of it you are actually going to lose alot more money printing flyer.
